Pitchford Hall lies at the centre of Pitchford Estate in beautiful rolling countryside about six miles south of Shrewsbury in the county of Shropshire. Sadly, after a failed attempt to save the Hall for the nation, the house, including the world renowned Treehouse, was sold by the Colthurst family (the owners of the Pitchford Estate) in 1992 and an irreplaceable collections of treasures was auctioned. Unfortunately, Pitchford Hall is no longer open to the public and the restoration programme appears to be dormant.
Whilst the external appearance of the Hall and its surrounding buildings is seemingly as it was in 1992, the interior, without its contents, is soulless. A few of the following photos will give you a glimpse of the inside of the Hall as it was before 1992.

The aim of this web site is to provide information on the Pitchford Estate which will be inspirational and educational. As the owners of the Pitchford Estate, the future health of the Hall and its surroundings is important to us. We hope that this site will help maintain interest in Pitchford so that this unique part of Britain's heritage can be preserved for perpetuity. There are two houses on the Pitchford Estate available as holiday homes: Windy Mundy Farm (one of the threshing barns) and Stockbatch Granary. By staying on the Estate we hope that you will enjoy the Pitchford experience and share our interest in its long term future.
